rban Dance Centre is committed to excellence in the performing arts along with the continued improvement in quality of Australian entertainment. Through expert teaching from a well renowned faculty, students are encouraged to develop self learning skills within a safe dance environment.

Heading this faculty is Juliette ‘JET’ Verne, director and founder of UDC and one of Australia’s most sought after choreographers and teachers. Juliette has worked with such artists as Elton John, Guy Sebastian Deni and Marcia Hines. She has also performed in shows including Lion King, Starlight Express and Grease ‘The Arena Spectacular’ and her teaching has taken her throughout Australia and overseas. Juliette’s most recent choreography was seen on Channel Tens’ ‘So You Think You Can Dance’, where Graeme Isaako, former fulltime student of UDC reached the Top 6. Also part of the faculty is Nacho Pop, choreographer for ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ and also the shows side of stage presenter, Tiana Joubert and Travers Ross as choreographers of ‘So You Think You Can Dance’.

With this amazing line up students are able to gain a wealth of experience which is shown in the valuable performing experience throughout the year within both the professional theatre and a variety of other venues.

Former students Kirby Burgess, Sophia Constantopedos and Daniel Raso appeared in High School Musical at The Capitol Theatre. Other former students include Megan Guest and Alexa Pobjie who are working on major cruiseliners and Madison Lucia who is working in Asia. Urban Dance Project performed at the Flo Rida concert, the youth performance group have competed in several competitions including Sydney Eisteddfod, Battlegrounds, Australian Hip Hop Championships, Groove, Looze Control and the Hollywood Comp.

UDC offers a full time Certificate IV in Performing Arts course, open classes for all ages, professional daytime and evening classes, a youth programme (3-16years), Mums with Bubs classes (6 weeks-2 years) performance courses, international intensive workshops, school holiday bootcamps and students scholarships.
