2011 CERT IV Fulltime Performing Arts Course- Audition #2
Due to the volume of audition enquires, we are proud to announce a 2nd audition for our 2011 Cert IV Fulltime Performing Arts Course. Train with Australia’s elite choreographers and leading professionals including choreographers of So You Think You Can Dance, Hairspray, Fame & The Lion King to give you the best quality training in Australia. As well as being the leaders in Hip Hop, UDC boasts quality Ballet, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Tap and Contemporary dance styles as well as strong vocal and acting training to give you all the knowledge you would need to be a true ‘triple threat’.

2011 – Cert IV Fulltime scholarship Mon 31 Jan 2011 – Fri 16 Dec 2011
This Australian Exclusive course is based on the Broadway Dance Centre scholarship program in NYC. A very valuable part time opportunity for talented upcoming talent +18yrs to train in a vast variety of dance styles and techniques, improve their specialities and be inspired by today’s industry professionals throughout our open/ casual classes.
2010/2011 Part time Scholarship Programs are required to attend the 6 mandatory open/casual classes per week including a technique, a break/arco and a hip hop class and are required to perform 10 hours of administration work during the open class schedule per week. Scholars will have the opportunity to be involved with UDC workshops, performances and promotions. Part time Scholars are not permitted to attend Fulltime classes and will be assessed by UDC Faculty at the end of their scholarship.

CLASS UPDATE
ZUMBA IS COMING TO UDC!! The Zumba program fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves to create a one-of-a-kind fitness program that will blow you away. Our goal is simple: We want you to want to work out, to love working out, to get hooked. Zumba Fanatics achieve long-term benefits while experiencing an absolute blast in one exciting hour of calorie-burning, body-energizing, awe-inspiring movements meant to engage and captivate for life!
Zumba classes will be held on Mondays 1:10pm- 1:50pm (perfect for those lunch break work outs!!) and Thursdays 6:30pm- 7:30pm at UDC as of Thursday 21st October
Patric Kuo will now be taking Int/Adv Hip Hop @ 6:00-7:30pm as of Wednesday 13th October

Check out our notice board to see what our very own James Barry and Steven Correa had to say. Steven was also featured on the Kerri Anne Morning Show discussing the topic and article.
Dance Train Magazine – Check out current fulltime student, James Luck in the Dancetrain Winners Circle editorial, an inspiring story of determintaion and passion.
New Zealand Workshop – This week, a group of very excited and very lucky students from New Zealand took part in a intensive 5 day dance workshop, learning a variety of dance styles from teachers including Steph Thomas, Sisqo, Chloe Talens, Veronica Beattie, Steven Correa, Steph Tulloch, Hannah Stanton, Robert Walters, Laurence Stark & Tiana Joubert. A huge thank you to Lana Weedon for organising such an amazing workshop!
“Got To Dance” Promo – Well done to those involved with the Foxtel’s “Got To Dance” promo performance at last nights Australia’s Next Top Model Finale. A huge effort to everyone who helped create the breathtaking fusion of dance including Juliette “Jet” Verne and Veronica Beattie, UDP2, fulltimers and various faculty.
CABARET NIGHT
Congratulations to all our current certificate IV fulltime students for such a successful first ever caberet night at UDC last Saturday.This was a showcase completely put together and performed by the students, from the decorating through to the running order, costumes and choreography. The night was a great success with a large turn out and many wonderful performances. The evening definatley conveyed the diversity and talent of our students and as a result this may highly likely become an annual event. Congratulations to all students on such a great show!
DANCE OF CHAMPIONS
A huge congratulations to UDP who represented Urban as winners of Sydney Eisteddfod in the Open Hip Hop catagory. On Sunday, the competed against the best of each catagory. It was a spectacular showcase of all styles, young and old. Well done
