UDC Winter Bootcamp FAQ’s (Frequently Asked Questions)

What do I wear for each class?

For Hip Hop, and JFH wear something comfortable plus runners.  For jazz, lyrical and musical theatre its best to wear tight fitting dance pants, tights or shorts and a t-shirt or singlet-remember the teachers want to see the lines you are creating.

For singing wear something comfortable you are happy to sit or stand in.

What are the levels?

The classes have been arranged in age groups so you just need to register according to your age.
Juniors: 7-12years | Seniors: 13- 17years

Can I bring food to eat?

Yes, you’ll need to bring your lunch with you plus snacks (energy snacks are the best) for the morning and afternoon breaks. We are close to Broadway Shopping Centre but students are only able to go out of the building if your parents have signed the Lunch Release Form. There is a kitchen with a microwave, toaster, kettle and fridge that you can use.

Are there boys and girls changing rooms?

Yes, we have separate girls and boys changing room plus a green room where you can relax during the breaks.

What else can I bring?

Plenty of water to drink- you’ll get really thirsty, there is also a vending machine in the green room that you can use (bring some change). You might also like to have spare hair elastics if you have long hair. Don’t bring any valuables-its best to leave them at home. If you need to bring your mobile phone with you remember to turn it off whilst in the studio.

Does it matter that I haven’t learnt all these styles of dance before?

Not at all, just come along willing to learn and you’ll have a great time. The teachers will show you so don’t worry!

Is there anything else I should know?

Please be respectful of all the teachers and other students by behaving yourself in class and staying focused you will have a fabulous inspiring experience. Listen to your teachers and enjoy all the classes. There will be staff around during the breaks so you’ll always be supervised
