| Contemporary | Contemporary dance refers to a modern style of dance opposed to the classical forms of dance. Contemporary is often based on specific theories including Laban analysis theory or the Cunningham technique amongst many |
| Dancehall | Dancehall is a fusion of hip hop and reggae dance movements and is usually performed to dancehall, RnB and reggae music |
| Hip Hop | Hip Hop refers to social or choreographed dance primarily performed to hip hop music or that have evolved as a part of hip hop culture. This includes a wide range of styles which can include breaking, popping and locking and voguing |
| Jazz | Jazz is an energetic dance style, consisting of unique moves depending on the specific style and era of jazz you are leaning. Jazz includes learning and using technique from classical training including pirouettes and turns, kicks and jumps |
| JFH | JFH is a fusion of Jazz, Funk and Hip Hop, it is a commercial styles of jazz which you will see performed both live and in video clips alike |
| Kicks Turns Jumps | Kicks turns and jumps is a technique class. You will learn the basics of each movement and evolve on your training to include combinations and sequences involving kicks turns and jumps |
| Lyrical Jazz | Lyrical is a dance style that combines elements of ballet, modern and jazz dance techniques. It is performed to popular music with vocals. The name lyrical comes from the word ‘lyrics’ as the style is derived from the lyrics of the music |
| Pussycat Dolls Heels JFH | This JFH class takes inspiration from the popular singing group the Pussycat Dolls. The class is taken in heels and is of a professional level |
| Musical Theatre | Musical theatre is a dance style derived from musicals. Students will learn stylistic movements and varied genres from across the history of music theatre |
| Nu School | A form of street dance that is often seen on a lot of hip-hop videos on MTV. It can be loose and relaxed or intense and energetic. Usually this dance is done to music that is currently hitting the charts and is easy to pick up |
| Popping | Popping’ is a form of dance that consists of sharp and fluid body movements. It is where different parts of the body hit a position and stop before moving on to the next. This then creates an almost robotic, or depending on the style, flowing motion |
| Tap | Tap is a form of dance characterized by a tapping sound that is created from metal plates that are attached to both the ball and heel of the dancer’s shoe. These metal plates, when tapped against a hard surface, create a percussive sound and as such the dancers are considered to be musicians |
